With its Discord and Spotify plugins, you can manage your voice chats and music without ever leaving your game. Here’s a simple and comprehensive overview of what these new integrations let you do.

Discord integration: Control your mates at your fingertips

To get started, simply activate the Discord plugin from the list of extensions available in the Stream Control software.

The link to your Discord account is automatically created in just a few clicks:

  1. Click the gear icon to open the Discord settings in Stream Control.
  2. Launch Discord, then click “First connection” in Stream Control.
  3. A window will open in Discord: confirm by clicking “Authorize.”
  4. That’s it! The plugin is ready to use.

Once connected, you can directly manage audio levels and voice actions from Stream Control:

  • Own volume (input): Adjust your microphone volume and mute/unmute with a single click.
  • Own volume (output): Manage your headset audio and turn mute + deafen mode on or off.
  • Channel member volume: Review the members of a voice channel, adjust their volume or mute them individually.

The software also lets you perform quick actions such as:

  • Muting yourself
  • Disconnecting from a channel
  • Switching between Voice detection and Push to talk modes
  • Selecting and controlling a specific member of a channel

  1. Open the settings menu, click the link to get the complete procedure on the Hercules support website and select the device of your choice.
  2. To use the plugin, you need a Spotify Premium account.
    • Log in to the Spotify developer portal (https://developer.spotify.com) with your Spotify account.
    • Click on the Dashboard portal, then on the Create App button.
    • Fill out the form with the http://127.0.0.1:4202 redirect URL, then click Save.
    • Return to the dashboard and click on the newly created application.
    • Click View Client Secret, copy the client ID + Client Secret and paste them into Stream Control.

 

  1. Once you’ve entered your client ID and Client Secret, click Log In.
  2. Accept Spotify’s terms of use by clicking on the green button in your web browser.
  3. That’s it!

Once the link is active, Stream Control gives you full control over your music:

  • Play/Pause/Next Song/Previous Song: Manage your tracks with a single click.
  • Shuffle mode and Repeat mode: Turn shuffle mode or repeat mode on or off.
  • Start Playlist: Instantly start your favorite playlist.
  • Add to playlist/Remove from playlist: Add or remove a track on the fly.
  • Like Song: Like or unlike a track without going through Spotify.
  • Song volume: Adjust the volume or set a fixed level based on your setup.
