Where do I put the Extender?
Hercules guides users step-by-step via a setup wizard that quickly locates the best place in the house for your WiFi Extender.
The Extender deploys a WiFi connection to the router and extends the network further without altering its name or safety key. Members of the family can move at any time to the area covered by the router or the Extender - the transition is seamless. Computers automatically connect to the closest access point (either to the box or to the WiFi Extender).
Always standard-compliant, with two operational modes
This WiFi Extender (HWGEXT-54) complies with the latest official WiFi standard, 802.11g: up to 54 Mbps bandwidth for maximum compatibility and proven interoperability with available 802.11b and 802.11g devices.
In Extender mode, the device replicates the WiFi network: it connects to a box’s or a modem router’s WiFi network, and extends it. Finally, a solution that enables users to connect the most remote computers to the Internet using a wireless connection! *
In Access Point mode, second available mode, the device enables users to create a WiFi network around a wired router modem or a wired router (e.g. a DSL or cable modem), to share Internet access wirelessly. No need to replace your wired router modem; simply connect it to the WiFi Extender using an Ethernet cable and benefit from an extended wireless Internet connection that complies with all relevant safety standards (up to WPA2).
