07/01/2010 - The Hercules brand is continuing to miniaturize its WiFi solutions, a process started last year, and is pleased to unveil today the smallest WiFi N USB key currently available*: Hercules Wireless N USB Pico (HWNUp-150).
With its microscopic dimensions (just 1.5 x 0.7cm when inserted into a computer’s USB port), the key is completely unobtrusive and perfect for mobile use.
And its small size is no obstacle to great performance! This new Hercules key provides data rates of up to 150 Mbps(1), allowing users to comfortably surf the Internet, and enjoy all kinds of online applications (videos, music, photos...).
With a suitably mini price of £19.99 (VAT included)(2), this key is the perfect solution to easily upgrade to WiFi 11N.
Certified for 802.11N, the final standard from the Wi-Fi Alliance - as are all Hercules WiFi N products - this USB key guarantees optimal compatibility and operation with all Internet "boxes" and with all 11g and 11n solutions on the market.
With a simple mouse-click on the WPS button(3) integrated into Hercules WiFi Station (the included easy-to-use software for managing WiFi functions), users are instantly and securely connected to the wireless network. The key also provides maximum security for data, thanks to WPA and WPA2 encryption. Hercules Wireless N USB Pico is compatible with Windows® 7.
This new Hercules key will be available from July 2010.
